The bestseller Lexus will reach our country in November, but the equipment is already known.
However, at the start of sales in Russia, the new Lexus NX will be available only with all-wheel drive and an 8-speed «automatic», and buyers will be able to choose from two versions — NX 250 AWD (2.5 liters, 199 forces and 243 Nm) and NX 350 AWD (2.4 liters, 279 forces and 430 Nm). Crossovers with an index «250» will be offered in four trim levels, and «three hundred and fifties» top versions — only in two maximum ones. The Lexus did not consider it necessary to derate the 2.4 turbo engine to 249 horsepower to take care of the tax benefit of the Russians.
The initial performance of Comfort is not overwhelming — these NXs have mechanical seat and steering wheel settings, and the infotainment complex has a modest 9.8-inch touchscreen. However, LED headlights and lights, keyless entry and two climate control zones are included as standard; complex Lexus Safety System + of the third generation does not require additional payment and combines assistants for recognition of road signs, pedestrians, cyclists and trees; intelligent high beam; lane control, automatic braking and collision avoidance systems.
«Medium» Executive equipment includes eight-range electric adjustment of the front seats and automatic steering wheel tilt and reach. In addition, these Lexus NXs have a fashionable infotainment system with a 14-inch touchscreen and navigation, wireless charging for gadgets and LED fog lights.
The Premium version has a panoramic roof, all-round cameras, contour lighting of the interior, seat upholstery with natural perforated leather, and the function of memory of positions appears in the electrically adjustable seats, steering wheel and mirrors. Finally, the most expensive build of the Luxury combines a 10-inch head-up display, digital interior mirror, power boot lid, 17-speaker audio system, 20-inch alloy wheels, and advanced electronic assistants.
There were some surprises. By overpaying for the NX 350 with a more powerful engine, the buyer will receive the F-Sport package and adaptive adjustable suspension by default, but the initial Premium equipment will be deprived of the electric adjustments of the front seats, and in the top-grade Luxury there will be no memory for the electric adjustments and the electric drive of the fifth door. Why the more expensive «three hundred and fifties» crossovers will be inferior in terms of equipping the «younger» NX 250 is not reported.
The price lists for the new Lexus NX are promised to be made public by the end of October, and in November the first crossovers will reach Russian dealers of the Japanese brand. At the moment, prices for NX start at 3,129,000 rubles for the base 2.0-liter mono-drive version, and the all-wheel drive NX 300 AWD with a turbo engine cannot be bought without 3,779,000 rubles.
